(External And Internal) (Automatic Water Cum Foam Base) External Fire Hydrant

A fire hydrant installation comprises a pipework system connected to the water supply main to provide water for each hydrant outlet, enabling firefighters to combat fires effectively. Water is discharged into the fire engine, pumped, and sprayed onto the fire. In areas with unreliable or inadequate water supply, hydrant pumps are essential to pressurize the fire mains.

The pipe network remains under constant water pressure. During fire extinguishing, the system instantly supplies water, and the main hydrant pump starts automatically. To address minor leakages, a jockey pump maintains pressure in the network. If water pressure drops due to leaks or other reasons, the jockey pump operates automatically until reaching the preset pressure.

During actual fire operations, the main pump, with higher capacity, operates automatically, supplying the required water quantity to the system. This automatic system ensures immediate water supply from all hydrant posts. A typical hydrant installation is directly fed from the water main and pressurized by fire pumps.

Fire Audit

A systematic examination of a building or facility to assess its fire safety measures and ensure compliance with regulations. Its primary purpose is to identify potential fire hazards, evaluate the effectiveness of existing safety systems like alarms and sprinklers, and check for things like clear fire exits and proper employee training. The audit provides a comprehensive report with recommendations for improvements to protect occupants and property. Key aspects:

  • Hazard identification
  • Equipment evaluation
  • Structural and physical checks
  • Emergency preparedness
  • Compliance checks
  • Respiratory Fit Testing : Respiratory Fit Testing services are available at your location or ours. SIIPL’s offers both Qualitative and Quantitative Fit Testing methods. Proper mask fit is crucial in minimizing risk to contaminate on the job. All personnel who have the potential to be exposed to contaminate are required to have fit testing performed on an annual basis in compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations.
Qualitative Fit Testing is performed when using half mask respirators and relies on the senses of taste and smell or reaction to an irritant to determine leakage.
Quantitative Fit Testing can be used for any type of respirator and is performed using a machine to determine the actual leakage into the face piece.
All persons who are scheduled to have fit testing performed must be medically evaluated prior to the test date to ensure the attendee is medically able to wear the respirator. In addition, all attendees must be clean shaven in order undergo testing.

Hazop

A structured and systematic method for identifying potential hazards and operability problems in complex systems, such as a chemical plant or oil refinery. It is a form of Process Hazard Analysis that helps organizations proactively identify risks before an incident occurs by examining how a process can deviate from its design intent.

Safety Audits (Is14489)

This is a systematic examination of an organization's safety management system, policies, and procedures to identify potential hazards, evaluate safety practices, and ensure compliance with regulations. The primary goals are to prevent accidents, improve the work environment, and reduce costs associated with injuries, while fostering a stronger safety culture.
Includes:

  • Hazard identification
  • Compliance verification
  • System evaluation
  • Recommendation for improvement
  • Employee involvement

Ergonomics Assessment

A professional evaluation of a worker's workstation and job tasks to identify risks for injury and discomfort with a goal to make adjustments to the work setup, equipment, or tasks to reduce physical hazards like awkward postures, repetitive motions, and forceful movements, thereby improving comfort, safety, productivity, and well-being

  • Observation: A professional observes how an individual works, sits, and interacts with their environment.
  • Evaluation : The assessor evaluates factors like workstation setup (desk, chair, monitor height), posture, repetitive movements, and force used in the job.
  • Information Gathering : Questions may be asked about daily tasks, previous injuries, and individual characteristics to understand the current situation.
  • Risk identification : The assessment identifies potential risk factors that could lead to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), such as carpal tunnel syndrome or back pain.
  • Recommendations : Based on the findings, recommendations are provided for adjustments or new equipment to improve the work environment.

Noise Mapping & Assessment

SSIL provides Noise Surveys to determine the extent of long- or short-term noise levels in your facility. Identification of areas with high noise levels helps to protect your employees hearing and helps you to determine proper hearing protection requirements and define the areas where different levels of hearing protection must be worn.
Noise Surveys include the use of the latest equipment and a report outlining the findings from the survey including site mapping. OSHA and MSHA mandate that your employees wear the proper hearing protection for the environment they work in. Have your noise levels checked today to ensure you’re in compliance.
It helps in designing engineering controls to meet the noise reduction requirement of high noise areas of the plant.

Ppe Audit

  • Assessment of current PPE selection status
  • PPE selection guidelines
  • PPE program implementation
  • PPE qualitative & quantitative fit testing program

The audit identifies any gaps in the PPE program, which helps the company take corrective actions to
improve worker safety and compliance.

Qualitative Exposure Assessment

  • Walk through Survey (Qualitative study) to identify Location & Name of Hazards for further Quantitative study to improve work environment.

Indoor Air Quality Program

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) may be the edge between productive & unproductive manpower for any Organization. Emphasis on IAQ is increasing in a highly competitive and challenging business environment. We offer IAQ services for the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of air inside a building or any commercial facility. Poor IAQ may cause workers, occupants and even the
Visiting public to experience a range of non-specific symptoms that affect their comfort or health. These symptoms collectively known as sick building syndrome which includes headache, fatigue, nausea, eye or nose or throat irritation, shortness of breath etc.

  • Monitoring & Analysis for various Physical, chemical, Aerosols & Microbiological Pollutants/Hazards like Temperature, RH, CO2, CO, O2, TVOC, PM10, PM2.5, TBC, TFC, etc. as per requirement, for controlled closed Air Conditioned office facilities like MNC´s, Software industries, Hotels, Call Centers, Hospitals, etc.
  • Survey of the Building including AHU & Air conditioning systems and surrounding area of the building to identify source/ cause of problem, if any

Heat Stress Assessment

  • Measurement of heat to understand the heat exposure to people and the area. This also helps design ventilation to improve the comfort of people working at the area.

API & Surrogate Assessment

  • Measure the actual exposure of API while working in pharmaceutical units or critical drug manufacturing.
