Fire Audit

A systematic examination of a building or facility to assess its fire safety measures and ensure compliance with regulations. Its primary purpose is to identify potential fire hazards, evaluate the effectiveness of existing safety systems like alarms and sprinklers, and check for things like clear fire exits and proper employee training. The audit provides a comprehensive report with recommendations for improvements to protect occupants and property. Key aspects:

  • Hazard identification
  • Equipment evaluation
  • Structural and physical checks
  • Emergency preparedness
  • Compliance checks
  • Respiratory Fit Testing : Respiratory Fit Testing services are available at your location or ours. SIIPL’s offers both Qualitative and Quantitative Fit Testing methods. Proper mask fit is crucial in minimizing risk to contaminate on the job. All personnel who have the potential to be exposed to contaminate are required to have fit testing performed on an annual basis in compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations.
Qualitative Fit Testing is performed when using half mask respirators and relies on the senses of taste and smell or reaction to an irritant to determine leakage.
Quantitative Fit Testing can be used for any type of respirator and is performed using a machine to determine the actual leakage into the face piece.
All persons who are scheduled to have fit testing performed must be medically evaluated prior to the test date to ensure the attendee is medically able to wear the respirator. In addition, all attendees must be clean shaven in order undergo testing.

Hazop

A structured and systematic method for identifying potential hazards and operability problems in complex systems, such as a chemical plant or oil refinery. It is a form of Process Hazard Analysis that helps organizations proactively identify risks before an incident occurs by examining how a process can deviate from its design intent.

Safety Audits (Is14489)

  • Observation: A professional observes how an individual works, sits, and interacts with their environment.
  • Evaluation : The assessor evaluates factors like workstation setup (desk, chair, monitor height), posture, repetitive movements, and force used in the job.
  • Information Gathering : Questions may be asked about daily tasks, previous injuries, and individual characteristics to understand the current situation.

  • Recommendations : Based on the findings, recommendations are provided for adjustments or new equipment to improve the work environment.

Noise Mapping & Assessment

SSIL provides Noise Surveys to determine the extent of long- or short-term noise levels in your facility. Identification of areas with high noise levels helps to protect your employees hearing and helps you to determine proper hearing protection requirements and define the areas where different levels of hearing protection must be worn.
Noise Surveys include the use of the latest equipment and a report outlining the findings from the survey including site mapping. OSHA and MSHA mandate that your employees wear the proper hearing protection for the environment they work in. Have your noise levels checked today to ensure you’re in compliance.
It helps in designing engineering controls to meet the noise reduction requirement of high noise areas of the plant.
